More relaxing than a massage.
More effective than PT.
The fix you've been looking for.
You've tried the rushed, insurance-run PT and the massage that felt great for a day. Healing Hands is different: a calm, unhurried hour of doctor-performed hands-on bodywork that finds and fixes the root cause of your pain — so the relief actually lasts.
A real, hands-on working hour with Dr. Jamie + a custom plan to fix the root cause.
Nevada
It's not just a massage
A massage relaxes the surface and fades in a day or two. Dr. Jamie's doctor-performed bodywork is just as calming — but it finds and fixes the root cause for results that last.
We don't chase the symptom — we find and fix the root cause, then keep you there with simple ongoing maintenance.
Two treatments people drive across Nevada for
Woven into her hands-on sessions — precise, evidence-based, and genuinely relaxing.
Dry Needling
A thin filiform needle releases tight tissue and reaches the myofascial trigger points hands alone can't — calming overactive muscles and unlocking pain that's been stuck for months. Based on Western anatomy and pain science.

⚡ Add to your visit · $50 StemWave Therapy
A quick 10–15 minute sonic / acoustic-wave (shockwave) booster you can add to any session for $50. It increases blood flow, calms inflammation, and activates your body's own healing — drug-free, no downtime. Works best layered over a course of hands-on care.

If standard PT didn't fix you, here's exactly why — and what we do instead.
From "they want to operate" to back in the game
Spinal stenosis, a bulging disc, and 800mg of Ibuprofen twice a day — facing a second back surgery.
"After spending one hour with Jamie on my very first visit, I have not had to take any Ibuprofen in three days. My functionality has been restored to at least 70%. The manual bodywork plus time with that amazing StemWave device gave me results I never imagined."
Four years of knee pain and "threatened with knee replacement" — but she golfs three times a week.
"There was immediate success with the program! Jamie targeted the real issue with my pain and explained what caused it. The StemWave treatments alleviated more pain with each weekly visit. I highly recommend Healing Hands."

Care that's not dictated by insurance
Insurance PT is built around what a plan deems "medically necessary" — short, shared visits and a cap on real care. By stepping outside that system, we give you a full hour of one-on-one, customized care built entirely around you.
- No gatekeeping. Your plan is decided by you and your doctor — not an insurance reviewer.
- Often fewer total visits. We resolve the root cause in fewer, longer sessions — not 2–3 a week for weeks.
- Superbill done for you. Submit it to your insurer for possible out-of-network reimbursement.
Hands-on care for what's been holding you back
Reno, Sparks, Carson City, Incline Village & the Tahoe basin — whether your pain came from a sport, a work accident, surgery, or otherwise, we welcome the chance to help.
Dry needling is not acupuncture
They both use thin needles — but that's where the similarity ends. Here's the honest difference, so you know exactly what you're getting.

Reno patients trust Healing Hands
"Jamie has done wonders in a short period of time helping my lower back/sciatica pain. The knowledge she has and being able to mix different techniques to personalize the attention I need has really made a difference. I would highly recommend for you to try her out. It will be well worth it!!!!"
"Jamie & Varsha have helped me so much with a chronic injury and drastically improved my quality of life. They are so smart and able to think outside the box to figure out the best way to treat a condition. They also spend a lot of time with you & really care that you feel better. I highly recommend them to anyone with any issue."
"If you want to feel recovery and no more pain or discomfort, this is the place for you. I had knee surgery back in July. I came out of surgery in more pain than I went in. I went to the recommended PT that is covered by insurance. I spent 2 months there, two times a week, and was not getting better. I finally had enough and researched Healing Hands. From my first appointment they let me know I was not a difficult case — that this is treatable. They took the time to find the root cause of my pain and really listened to me. It's now December, and for the first time since July, I'm pain free! It is worth every cent to have my life back. I recommend Healing Hands to everyone — it truly works!"
"I was diagnosed with a frozen shoulder and the Healing Hands team devised a treatment plan. By the end of the third month I had 85% mobility. I am so thankful for the care I received including physical therapy, needling, cupping, specific exercises and shockwave therapy. Their compassion and knowledge got me through a very challenging time."
"Brilliant, caring, and amazing. They really do have healing hands. The StemWave is fantastic for inflammation. Three sessions of PT / StemWave and I've got more range of motion in my shoulders than I've had in years… thanks Healing Hands!!!"

Answers for Reno patients
How is this different from a massage?+
A massage feels great, but it works on the surface and the relief is usually temporary. Healing Hands is doctor-performed therapeutic bodywork — manual therapy, myofascial release, dry needling, CranioSacral, and StemWave — that is just as relaxing but is designed to find and fix the underlying cause of your pain, then keep you there with a maintenance plan. You leave feeling great AND actually better.
Is dry needling the same as acupuncture?+
No — and this is our most-asked question. Dry needling uses a thin filiform needle to release tight tissue and reach myofascial trigger points within the muscle, based on Western anatomy and pain science. Acupuncture is rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine and meridian-energy theory. Dry needling is an evidence-based technique physical therapists use to relieve pain and reactivate muscles — it is not acupuncture.
What is StemWave (sonic / acoustic wave) therapy?+
StemWave is a noninvasive, FDA-listed sonic / acoustic wave (shockwave) therapy — the latest, more powerful evolution of shockwave used in medical offices for over 20 years. It uses harmless acoustic waves to increase blood flow, reduce inflammation, and activate your body's natural healing. At Healing Hands it's a quick 10–15 minute add-on layered onto your hands-on session — just ask to add it to your visit.
How does pricing work?+
Most people start with a one-hour intro session ($150) — a real, hands-on working visit where Dr. Jamie treats you and builds a custom plan to fix the root cause. From there she'll recommend the best path: a package of sessions, or the $99/month Maintenance Membership. You can also add StemWave to any visit for $50. Pricing is always shared up front — no surprise bills. (Prices shown are provisional and confirmed at booking.)
What is the Maintenance Membership?+
The Maintenance Membership ($99/mo) is for staying ahead of pain once we've fixed the root cause — ongoing tune-ups so the problem doesn't creep back, plus 10% off all services, a credit toward your first session, same-day access if you tweak something new, and priority booking. The body needs upkeep; the membership keeps you there.
Do you take insurance?+
We're an out-of-network, private-pay (cash-pay) clinic by design. Not contracting with insurance lets us give every client a full hour of customized, hands-on care that isn't dictated by insurance limits. We provide a superbill you may submit to your insurer for possible out-of-network reimbursement — and because we resolve the root cause in fewer visits, the total cost is often comparable to, or less than, a full course of insurance PT.
Where are you located and what are your hours?+
We're at 9460 Double R Blvd, #104, Reno, NV 89521 in South Reno. Hours are M/T/TH/F 9AM-4PM (Thu to 3PM) (closed Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday). After-hours visits are available upon request. Call or text (775) 452-4471.
